“I intend to live up to 100 years” – Mr Ibu

Nigerian veteran actor and comedian, Mr Ibu has averred that he intends to live for 100 years.

John Ibu popularly known as Mr Ibu made this known during an interview with GoldMyne TV on the occasion of his 61st birthday.

“It’s another God-sent day for me. I have completed 61 years. I can’t believe this. My mother died at 90-91 years almost,” he said.

“I said I was going to go 100. It is by God’s power, not by man’s might. I don’t know what’s going to happen when I go 100. But I know I want to leave a history in this country.”

Recall that in an interview Mr Ibu had said he cannot do without sex for two years.

“I am not sex-crazed at all. I can abstain for two years. When I had a problem, I stayed off sex for a long time. I am not controlled by sex. As of now, I have stayed off sex for at least four months. Remember that I was poisoned in December 2020, so I need to recuperate before engaging in such acts. My wife is also missing me. It was not easy for her. She was crying every minute because she genuinely loves me.

“Some people have said that people with potbellies are not good lovers or sexually active but being good on the bed is relative. My answer to this is that I have 13 children (10 boys and two girls) though I lost one of them. That is the evidence of my sexual virility. I hatch children like pigeons.”

After elementary school in 1974, he moved to Sapele to stay with his brother, after his father’s demise.

In Sapele, he did menial jobs so he could sponsor himself to school and support his family.

He then worked as a hairstylist, ventured into photography, and also worked in a company that produces crates.

After secondary school, he was admitted into the College of Education, Yola but pulled out due to finance.

He later enrolled in the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) as soon as he was financially buoyant.
